Infrastructure Renewal at Penn Station completed as of August 31, 2017.
The Long Island Rail Road resumed regular weekday service on Tuesday, September 5th. This followed Amtrak’s announcement that regularly scheduled operations resumed at Penn Station on Tuesday, September 5th. As a result:
- Discounted fares for traveling to alternate stations ended effective Friday, September 1st.
- The temporary bus and ferry service put in place as alternative travel options for LIRR ticket holders no longer operate as of Friday, September 1st.
Temporary schedule adjustments related to various state-of-good repair projects will affect the Babylon, Far Rockaway, Long Beach, Montauk, Huntington/Port Jefferson and Ronkonkoma Branches. These changes are reflected in new timetables, dated September 5 – November 12, 2017.
