If you don’t enroll by January 31, 2017, you can’t enroll in a health insurance plan for 2017 unless you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.  Individuals may also qualify for Special Enrollment Periods outside of Open Enrollment if they experience certain events.

SUBSIDY CALCULATOR   This tool illustrates health insurance premiums and subsidies for people purchasing health insurance on their own in new health insurance exchanges or “Marketplaces” created by the Affordable Care Act (ACA).  Middle income people under the age of 65, who are not eligible for coverage through their employer, medicare or medicaid, can apply for tax credit subsidies available through state-based exchanges.
